being + doing = legacy

What do I want to be remembered for — and who do I want to be remembered as?

This is the Legacy Question. Everything in The Venn Space is, in some form, your tools to answer to it.

Oops, I Dropped My Superpowers

Every woman who arrives at The Venn Space arrives because of this book. It names what most women have quietly known for years — somewhere along the way, the things that made her exceptional, unique, authentic, got set aside. Personal priorities became clouded. Energy dulled. Stress often prevailed. Your life became defined by the needs of others. The question of living a life that leaves a legacy was for others.

Oops, I Dropped My Superpowers introduces Your Legacy Question, along with Six Legacy Types, defined through priority values. The book identifies the distinction between an intentional and an accidental legacy. These key concepts are viewed through the feminine lens and examination of the lives of women who have left intentional, and sometimes accidental legacies, all through how their “being” and “doing” intersected – the Venn.

“Most women are not disengaged because they lack ambition. They are disengaged because their ambition has been disconnected from anything that genuinely matters to them.”

The Six Legacy Types

This is a personal exploration of values. Not a personality test. Six mirrors — each reflecting a different way that values find expression in work and in life.

When something in one of these descriptions makes you think yes — that is something I understand from the inside, that recognition is pointing you toward your Legacy Space.

Each type comes with its own natural genius, its characteristic blind spots under pressure, and a development edge — the growth that becomes available when you understand how your particular strengths can work against you.

Most people identify strongly with one or two types. The gap between your professional and personal type is often where the most important work begins.

Shapes · Questions · Advances
The Culturist

Reflects culture back to itself with enough clarity that it changes. Tells the true story of what this organisation is — and what it could become.

Protects · Stewards · Preserves
The Conservationist

Thinks in decades rather than quarters. The voice that says “we shouldn’t lose this” — and means it enough to fight for it.

Persists · Advocates · Models
The Champion

Refuses to let worthy things be dropped. Uses whatever platform they have in service of something that matters more to them than comfort.

Builds · Invents · Imagines
The Creator

Looks at problems and sees design challenges. Brings things into existence that would not have existed without them.

Cares · Sees · Holds
The Compassionist

The reason people bring their real problems to work. Builds the conditions of trust in which other kinds of excellence become possible.

Bridges · Introduces · Multiplies
The Connector

Sees what others share before others know they share it. Their legacy lives in other people’s stories — in the things that happened because they put the right people in the same room.

Your Legacy Space

The Legacy Space is the intersection of two things: your values — who you genuinely are — and your contribution — what you do in the world. Where you spend your energy matters. When you define and operate from your legacy space, energy and motivation increases.

Finding your Legacy Space is not a one-time event. It is an ongoing practice of evaluating how the work in front of you is connected to something that genuinely matters — and if not, what is getting in the way.

When being and doing are sharing space, everything shifts!.

The work that matters

01
A language for what you already know

The Legacy Types do not tell you something new. They give you words for something you have always been — and a framework for using it with intention rather than leaving it to chance.

02
A map, not a prescription

The Venn Space does not tell you what to do. It gives you a map of your own terrain — your natural genius, your blind spots, and the development edge that becomes available when you understand both.

03
Legacy as a daily practice

The Legacy Statement you produce is not a final answer. It is a working document — a question you keep asking until the answer and the life are the same thing.
